Emmeline Nindagiye
Emmeline was born in Tanzania, Africa. Life in Tanzania was difficult because sometimes she lacked basic needs. Sometimes she would miss school because she had to help her mom at the farm. To make matters worse, there was a lot of discrimination between ethnic groups and a lack of safety. In 2008, her family moved to America, even though it was difficult to adjust to her new life, she eventually learned English and began to adapt to the American culture. One of Emmeline’s role models was her sister, Chantal Irumva. She inspired Emmeline to always aim for success and to follow her dreams. Unfortunately, Chantal passed away on April 8, 2022, but she will always be in Emmeline’s heart. Emmeline’s goal is to finish her master’s degree and become a social worker in a medical setting. She would also like to help the less privileged, orphans, and widows in Africa.
